Peter Woodbury and his employees, agents, representatives, and assignees accept no liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or any other occurrence that might result from the negligence, defect, error or default of any company or person in the performance of said services. Responsibility is not accepted for losses, injury, damages, cancellations, or expenses of any kind due to sickness, weather, strikes, hostilities, wars, terrorist acts, acts of nature, local laws, or other situations of force majeure. Emergency Medical insurance and Emergency Medical Evacuation Insurance is provided. You are advised to purchase a “cancel for any reason” policy, also known as a CFAS policy, which includes war or terrorism as an option. Please note that policies are different and you are responsible for assuring you understand the coverage you have purchased. Neither Peter Woodbury nor Perfect Egypt Tours is responsible for your insurance coverage or your decision not to seek insurance coverage. Neither Peter Woodbury nor Perfect Egypt Tours has any relationship with a specific travel insurance provider.
There are typically three criteria that must be met in order to be eligible for Cancel for Any Reason coverage:

  1. The CFAR coverage must be purchased within 15 days of the initial trip deposit.
  2. The trip is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to scheduled departure.
  3. The full cost of all non-refundable, prepaid trip arrangements is insured at the time of purchase.

Cancellations made by Perfect Egypt Tours or Peter Woodbury:
In the unusual situation that an event has occurred that necessitates the tour to be canceled, every attempt will be made to recover as much money as possible to refund to the travelers. The closer the cancelation is to the departure date, the more difficult recouping funds will be. After February 15, 2026, no guarantees can be made about any refunds or partial refunds. Every attempt will be made, but again, no recovery of funds is guaranteed after February 15, 2026. You are strongly encouraged to get travel insurance to cover your investment in the case of cancellation.

Refunds: Leaving a trip in progress for any reason whatsoever will not result in a refund. No refunds will be made for any part of this program in which you choose to not participate, including but not limited to hotels stays, air or land transportation, meals, tours or other sightseeing arrangements.

Itinerary: The itinerary, accommodations, and arrangements are subject to change or modification at the discretion of Peter Woodbury and Perfect Egypt Tours.

Expeditions: Every reasonable effort will be made to operate the program as planned, but changes may still occur after the final itinerary is sent to you. By booking a reservation with us, travelers understand that amenities, types of transport, routes, schedules, and itineraries may change without prior notice due to circumstances or events in the location due to, but not limited to, mechanical breakdowns, flight cancellations, illness, strikes, weather, political disputes, border crossing problems and other unforeseen factors.

Rates: Peter Woodbury will do everything possible to preserve the prices listed in the original marketing materials you receive. However, between the dates these prices are published and the trip’s actual departure date, unforeseen and exceptional cost increases may occur due to currency fluctuations, taxes, airfare and transport cost increases, or others that may force Peter Woodbury to assess a surcharge. If that unusual occurrence were to take place, the assessed surcharge will reflect only the specific cost increase. If the increase were to exceed 10% of the original cost of the tour, you may cancel within 10 days of receiving said notification and obtain a full refund.

Medical insurance: Make sure your health insurance plan provides coverage overseas. $100 will be deducted from your tour fees once you provide documentation of your medical and medical evacuation insurance coverage. Most care providers overseas only accept cash payments. Visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/before-you-go/your-health-abroad/Insurance_Coverage_Overseas.html for more information on insurance providers for overseas coverage. Visit the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for more information on type of insurance you should consider before you travel overseas.
U.S. Medicare/Medicaid does not apply overseas. Most hospitals and doctors overseas do not accept U.S. health insurance.

3. VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS AS OF DECEMBER 1, 2023

4. TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS

Insurance: Travelers must carry overseas medical insurance that includes emergency medical evacuation coverage.
Other insurance options are trip cancellation insurances coverage, also for baggage loss or delay. We strongly recommend purchase of a comprehensive policy that also includes cancel for any reason coverage, also known as CFAS.
The timing of purchase of insurance is essential, usually required within 15 days of trip deposit. For example:

  • The CFAR coverage must be purchased within 10 to 15 days of the initial trip deposit. Plans and dates vary.
  • The trip is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to scheduled departure.
  • The full cost of all non-refundable, prepaid trip arrangements is insured at the time of purchase.

5. TRAVELER EXPECTATIONS & LIMITATIONS

Allow everyone access to a site for the energetic experience and for photography. Photography is encouraged for everyone on the tour but it is not to become a distraction from the spiritual intentions of the tour. Please ask anyone for permission before taking pictures of them.
4. You are required to stay with the tour as scheduled. If a traveler decides to leave the tour for any reason, aside from a health matter or emergency, they will not be allowed to rejoin the tour at a later destination. Travelers are expected to begin and end the tour together.

A group travel experience is very different than traveling on your own or with friends. As a travel “community”, there are certain expectations required to create a pleasant tour experience:
1. Punctuality: In Egypt, there can be many unexpected delays. With that said, the expectation of each traveler is to be punctual for designated meeting times – designated times to meet in the lobby to begin the tour, designated times to meet at the sites after free time to depart the site, and any other established group meeting time.
2. Wake up calls: Each traveler is responsible to set their own “wake up call” to get ready to start the day. Each traveler has different needs in getting ready and it is the responsibility of each traveler to plan accordingly. If a traveler fails to show up for designated meeting times, the tour reserves the right to leave without the traveler and their meeting up with the group is their personal responsibility and their expense.
3. WhatsApp – The mode of communication while on the tour will be through a WhatsApp tour group chat. The daily schedule and updates will be posted on this platform and every traveler is expected to have access to the WhatsApp application.
3. Public conduct – Travelers are expected:
a. Avoid discussion of divisive topics such as but not exclusive of: politics, conspiracy theories, religion, gender identity, to name a few. The purpose of this tour is spiritual and we are seeking unity, not division.
b. Avoid “soapboxing” – Soapboxing is when a person using almost any opportunity to espouse their personal belief about an issue with the implicit message that they have the correct viewpoint on the matter. This is not helpful or useful on a group tour.
c. Treat everyone – travelers, guides, locals, with dignity and respect. Swearing or becoming enraged with anyone is not acceptable and can be cause for dismissal from the tour. If a traveler has a strong feeling about something, the expectation is that they act like an adult and approach Peter or Abdullah with their concern. Shouting, cursing, swearing, intimidating or physically assaulting anyone could have legal repercussions and will lead to dismissal from the tour without refund. Every effort will be made to get said individual to the airport to return home. The basic simple assumption is that if you can’t do it in a kindergarten classroom, don’t do it on a tour.
