Pre-Tour Excursion 1: Saint Catherine’s Monastery & Alexandria

July 27 / Day 1:

(D) Arrive in Egypt, where we will assist you with your entry visa and customs before escorting you to your hotel.

July 28 / Day 2:

(L, D) Early morning drive to Sinai, enjoying a scenic journey through the Holy Land to reach St. Catherine’s Monastery (approx. 5 to 6 hours driving). Upon arrival at our St. Catherine hotel, check in and enjoy lunch. The rest of the afternoon and evening are free at your leisure.

July 29 / Day 3:

(B, L) At 1:00 AM, we depart the hotel to hike Mount Sinai and watch the sunrise from the peak. After taking in the sunrise, we descend the mountain and stop to tour St. Catherine’s Monastery.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU PREFER NOT TO HIKE, YOU CAN TAKE A CAMEL RIDE FOR PART OF THE HIKE. The cost of the camel ride is included.
We then return to the hotel for breakfast before checking out in the afternoon to drive back to Giza and check into our hotel.

July 30 / Day 4:

(B,L,D) Drive to Alexandria in the morning to visit the Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar, the Roman Amphitheater, and the Citadel of Qaitbay. After lunch, view the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (Library of Alexandria) from the outside before driving back to Giza.
