I first came to Egypt & Giza as a 6 year old boy! My great grandfather was Egyptian and I have never stopped returning to this sacred land. I have led or co-led tours of Egypt for more than 20 years. In those many travels, I have made a good friend, Abdallah Fayed, who has become one of the most respected and beloved tour guides of Egypt. We will be working together to create a life transforming experience for you!

One of the highlights of the tour will be our private time inside the Great Pyramid.
We will have access to the Great Pyramid for 2 hours! There are many interpretations of the many spiritual purposes of the Great Pyramid, and I believe that the main one is how the King’s Chamber/”The Chamber of the Open Tomb” is an initiation chamber, where the “Initiate” would leave their bodies for 3 days thru the supposed “air ducts” and eventually return, awakened to the great mysteries of the truth of the soul. We will all have a chance to experience a re-initiation inside the Chamber of the Open Tomb!

I will use meditation & trance induction techniques to guide travelers through the initiatory experiences for which the Great Pyramid is intended.
Again, we will have 2 hours of exclusive private time in the Great Pyramid!
*We will be meditating and energetically interacting with all the spiritual sites we will be visiting.
The tour price includes an Egyptian Mysticism Series which I will be teaching prior to the tour. The course will cover:

  • Introduction to the Egyptian Gods & Goddesses
  • Edgar Cayce on the Purposes of the Great Pyramid
  • The Egyptian Book of The Dead

The ideal of the tour is that we come to Egypt not so much as tourists, but as spiritual pilgrims.
We are here to transform, not just to visit, to interact and experience and not just see with the external eyes. The advance courses are designed to have us arrive prepared for some deep awakening work!

And some of the sites require walking in the hot sun, on uneven ground, for up to 2 hours. The climb into the Great Pyramid requires the ability to climb at a slope, in a hunched position, for about 20 yards.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Are there any Covid restrictions remaining in Egypt?
    None.
  • Do I need a VISA to enter Egypt?
Yes & it will be provided for you upon arrival. US, Canada, Australia and most European countries do not need to get a VISA ahead of time. Once we see your passport, we can advise you in case you need to get your own VISA.
  • What are the risks of cancellation of the trip?
I recommend you purchase travel insurance. I recommend Squaremouth for looking into travel insurance options. Your tour payments after after February 15, 2026 are final and no refunds can be issued. Those funds will have been submitted to Egypt and will be used to cover the deposits for the hotels, cruise ship and meals costs in advance. I recommend you explore the insurance coverage options available to you. Better to pay extra and rest assured.
  • Are there any mandatory insurances required?
Yes. You will be provided medical and medical evacuation insurance.
  • Any other insurances that you recommend?
You are encouraged to explore terrorism coverage.
  • Will assistance be available with making travel arrangements and exploring insurance options?
Yes. I will be available to help you decide on your flights and insurance options and any other questions that you may have. You have consierge service on this tour.
  • Is there any security risks regarding traveling to Egypt at this time?
There is always some risk anytime you travel to the Middle East, but Perfect Egypt Tours and Abdallah Nasr are very well connected and will make sure we avoid any areas of concern and are kept safe. TSA provides armed security on our bus in Cairo and all our hotels are secured.
  • How can we get local currency in Egypt?
You can not get Egyptian pounds outside of Egypt. At the airport, there will be currency exchange stations as well as ATM machines. You will get your currency in Egyptian pounds. You can also bring US $1 bills to use for the bathrooms and to buy items from the sellers. Credit cards are safe at the hotel, the ship, the shops we will visit on the tour, and at restaurants. Do not use credit cards at the markets. If in doubt, ask Peter or Abdullah.
  • Will the hotels and Nile cruise ship have amenities?
The hotel lobbies will have WIFI. Sometimes in the rooms. It isn’t always complimentary. You can always buy a SIM card to use in your unlocked smart phone while in Egypt. Most of the hotels will have pools, bars and spas. Your rooms will mostly also have bathtubs.
  • What is the anticipated size of the group?
    Anywhere from 12 to 20.
  • Will there be any chance to interact as a group prior to the tour?
Yes. There will a Zoom several courses and a Zoom meet-and-greets prior to arrival in Egypt. This is a great way to arrive in Egypt already feeling connected to your fellow travelers.
  • Food and water safety concerns?
Avoid raw foods that you have not washed and peeled yourself.
    Only drink bottled water.
    Never drink beverages with ice.
At the hotels, they will use filtered water to wash the produce, but to be as safe as possible, only eat cooked foods.
NO ICE CREAM. Ice cream melts and then gets refrozen and can be dangerous to eat.
We will have bottled water on the bus at no charge. You will also have complimentary bottled water at meals.
  • Other matters to know about traveling in Egypt:
It is not uncommon for events to occur outside of the tour provider control (a train accident, a protest, a power outage, a VIP visit to a site) and changes needing to be made on the fly. Every attempt will be made to make sure nothing is missed that was scheduled on the tour. We ask for your patience and flexibility. One of the main reasons that our Pyramid private time is scheduled on our first day is to allow flexibility in case it needs to be rescheduled.
Egypt does not have a structured government welfare benefits system. For example, almost every bathroom we will use on the tour is a sort of social support business. You’ll need to plan to have a dollar or smaller local currency ready to provide bakshish or tips at these locations. At the sites, the guards may offer to show you “special places” or guide you or take pictures for you. This is also part of the social welfare network. And just know that whatever you give them will never be considered enough. Just walk away. Some guards may be more aggressive that others. We can discuss strategies on how to deal with this in our pre-tour meetings.
It may be difficult at times, but please remember that Egypt has it’s own lifestyle and culture which may be quite different that what we are used to – sometimes charming and sometimes not so much.  Egypt is an economically challenged country and tourism is their major industry so try and keep this in mind. Shopping is largely based on bartering but remember when you are going back and forth over a few hundred Egyptian pounds, while it might sound like a lot – 100 Egyptian pounds is 2 US dollars, 2 Euros 3 Canadian, 3 Australian. 500 Egyptian pounds goes a lot farther for the salesperson that $10 or $15 will ever go in our countries. So just know when you are feeling taken advantage of remember that the average annual income in Egypt is about $5,000 US and the hourly income rate is about $3 US. That might help you understand that the people we meet along our path are trying to feed their families and sometimes more than just their families.
And please do not hesitate to ask Peter or Abdullah know if you have any questions and if there is anything that we can do to help.
